WILLEMSTAD – Curacao Minister Charles Cooper of Traffic, Transport and Spatial Planning VVRP officially granted a permit to Thielman Global Trusted International (TGTI) to build various agrarian industrial and commercial structures in the rural area.
The complex will include an office, warehouse, a 10,000 square metres greenhouse and a technical area near country house Santa Catharina. The project features a two-story building with 255 parking spaces and construction is set to be completed by 2025.
TGTI Group, together with CurHydro, envisions developing a high-level, multi-faceted agricultural facility that will create jobs, boost the economy, raise health awareness and contribute to educational and tourism development.
CurHydro aims to be the pioneer in bringing advanced agricultural techniques to Cura9ao, significantly reducing the amount of currently imported food. They intend to offer a reliable supply of safer, less expensive, healthier and higher quality products, enabling “Nos Yu di Tera” (Our Children of the Land) to live even longer.
“This project marks a significant contribution to the commercial and industrial growth of Cura9ao, creating jobs during both the construction phases and thereafter,” added a release.
Cooper expressed his satisfaction with the agricultural and food security project.
